A huge amount of Rs 10722.448 million for seven-year developmental package under 'Pyara Kashmir programme' has been allocated and in current year various development projects would be launched in Line of Control (LoC) areas, said the Additional Chief Secretary Development, AJK Captain Muhammad Yousaf (Retd). He said this while presiding over a meeting of AJK government officials emphasised the need for earlier completion of the projects and surveys.
He further stated that colleges, dispensaries and road networks would be established under 'Payra Kashmir Programme' particularly along the Line of Control (LoC) areas. He said several uplift projects would be started in current year. He said under the 'Payra Kashmir Programme' huge amount has been allocated for developmental projects, which included education project worth Rs 147 million, health Rs 95 million, electricity Rs 133 million, local government Rs 4.53 million and information Rs 15 million.
Muhammad Yousaf said that 'Payra Kashmir Programme' is a revolutionary step, which will bring the deprived areas at par with the rest of the country. He added the programme was being launched in collaboration with the federal government. In the meeting the secretaries briefed about various departmental progress. The meeting was attended by Secretary Information Fayyaz Abbasi, Secretary Local government, Salim Bismal, Secretary Education Akram Sohail, Secretary Electricity Mushtaq Gorsi, Secretary P&D, Sardar Nawaz Khan and others.
