A four-year USAID-Pakistan Trade Project has been launched to enhance trade related policies in the country, says Shagufta Naz, Gender Advisor USAID Pakistan Trade project. Talking to Business Recorder here on Wednesday at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) she said that the project aims to support trade related policies, procedures and system to increase trade and to support reconstruction opportunity zone (ROZ).
The team through interviews and focus group discussions with women exporters will identify the bottlenecks and barriers to women's participation in trade. The team would also talk to women entrepreneurs about their successful experiences in international trade, she said. She further said that the purpose of visiting SCCI was to hold discussion with businesswomen for ascertaining their viewpoint on different issues. The discussion with the women exporters from Sialkot will be a valuable addition to the research, she added.
