The University of Sindh has finalised the arrangements for it academic convocation 2008 to be held on December, 22. A meeting of the organising committee was convened on Friday, which was presided over by the Vice Chancellor University of Sindh, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui.
The meeting was attended by the Convenors of the various arrangements committees and also Registrar, Director Finance and Controller of Examination to discuss the arrangements of the academic convocation. The Convenors of the various committees submitted their proposals, which include the seating arrangements, beautification at campus, security arrangements, transportation for the candidates and their parents and guests who will be invited to attend the occasion.
The Convenors of the committees also proposed the names of various persons for induction on the various committees. The Controller of Examination in the meeting informed that their department has finalised the arrangements. He informed that in academic convocation 2008, 21 Gold Medals will be awarded to Faculty top candidates and 102 silver medals will be awarded to the meritorious candidates in various departments.
