A high level meeting was chaired by Rana. M. Farooq Saeed Khan, Minister for textile Industry to discuss the availability of yarn in the domestic market in Ministry of Textile Industry on Tuesday. The meeting aimed to review the present production, consumption in local market vis-à-vis export of the cotton yarn.
The meeting aimed to seek viewpoint of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) on the current yarn situation and how to tackle with it. The delegation of APTMA was led by Goher Ijaz. The representatives of the APTMA gave complete authority to Ministry of Textile Industry to take any decision/s in the matter.
It may be pointed out here that Minister for Textile Industry will chair a meeting with the trade associations of value added sector including PHMA, PRGMEA, PTEA etc of on 16th December. After seeking assurance of APTMA, Ministry will devise a way forward in the meeting of the 16th December (today).-PR
