Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the government has given top priority to development of the education sector and revolutionary steps are being taken under which uplift projects worth billions of rupees have been initiated in the province.
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony, held at Government MC Girls Higher Secondary School Samnabad, after inaugurating newly built academic block. The minister said the C M Punjab has set up a special trust with a fund of Rs 4 billion to provide financial assistance to brilliant and hard working poor students for getting higher education.
Moreover, the C M has appreciated the position holders by presenting them guard of honour, sending them on foreign educational trips and awarding them scholarships, he maintained. Sanaullah observed that no nation could acquire a respectable position in the comity of nations without imparting quality education to its citizens, and the government of Punjab has rightly focused on this sector so that it could equip its people with modern and quality education.
