Sindh Minister for Auqaf, Abdul Haseeb Baig on Saturday met with prominent ulema for the promotion of inter-faith harmony and peace during Muharram. The Sindh Minister held separate meetings with Amir Jamaat Ahle-e-Sunnat, Shah Turab-ul-Haq Qadri, prominent scholar, Hasan Zafar Naqvi, Chief of Nizam-e-Mustafa Party, Haji Hanif Tayyab and Amir of Ghurba Ahl-e-Hadith, Hafiz Muhammad Sulfi, said a statement issued by MQM here.
The Sindh Minister also conveyed the message of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain to the ulema. It may be noted here that the meetings with prominent ulema are being held on behalf of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, to maintain peace and promote inter-faith harmony during Muharram. Talking to the MQM leader, the ulema commended the practical efforts of Altaf Hussain for promotion of inter-faith harmony and unity among the people belonging to different schools of thought.
They were of the opinion that besides promoting tolerance the MQM has also spread the message about respect of humanity. Abdul Haseeb Baig said that the ulema have always played a significant role to maintain inter-faith harmony. During the separate meetings special dua was also held for elimination of terrorism, establishment of peace, maintenance of brotherhood, unity among Muslim and good health of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain. Among other notables, Incharge MQM Ulema Committee, Jawaid Ahmed was also present.
