Five passengers were killed and several others injured when their pickup turned turtle and plunged into a roadside ditch near Keti Bundar on Saturday morning. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Siddiq s/o Qadir Bux Jat, Usman Jat, Mohammad Jat and Jumman Jat. The seriously injured included Abban and Ummar.
The rescue operation was delayed, as the site was quite remote area, about 125 kilometres from Thatta. However, local villagers managed to shift the dead and injured to local government health centre. Police reached the spot quite late, however, registered the case and started investigation.
