President, Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q), Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Hussein has expressed grave concern over hike in gas and electricity tariff and said that the people are fed up with the gimmicks of rulers. While addressing the re-organisation meeting of PML-Q Mianwali and Layyah at his Gulberg residence on Saturday, Shujaat said that agriculture economy is being destroyed, as people are waiting acute shortage of water.
On one side people are facing acute gas and power shortages while, on the other hand, the government has raised their tariffs putting heavy burden on people as well as industry. The PML-Q president said that his party will expose corruption of rulers while a think tanks has been formed to evolve strategy on issues basis.
Addressing the meeting former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that crime is rampant in the province while those who are raising tall claims would have to face their footing in public in local bodies polls. He strongly criticised the policies of PML-N led Punjab government and said people are fed up with the government due to anti-people policies. He said hike in gas and power tariffs would multiply problems of people while industry and trade would badly suffer. The farming community, which is already facing difficult time, would face more burden that would hit the agriculture sector.
