As many as eight domestic and international flights were delayed owing to foggy weather at Benazir International Airport here on Saturday. According to details provided by Airport Inquiry here, daily flight from Karachi, which was due at 9.15 am arrived two hours late at 11.15 am. While the daily flight for Karachi, which was due to leave Islamabad at 10.15 am left for Karachi at 12:15.
PK-301 left for Karachi at 11:15 instead of 10:00 am while PK-451 arrived from Skardu at 12:20, it was originally due at 10:00 am PK-785 left for London at 12:00 pm from Benazir International airport. It was due to leave for London at 11:00 am. PK-653 left here for Lahore at 3:15 pm instead of 2:00 pm, PK-452 arrived from Skardu at 2:50 pm instead of 12:45 pm, PK-652 arrived from Lahore at 2:25 pm instead of 1.25 pm, PK-356 arrived from Lahore at 2.50 pm instead of 8.50 am and PK- 385 left for Lahore at 12:50 pm instead of 9:30 am. According to the officials of Islamabad Airport some of the flights were late due to fog, while remaining for other technical reasons.
