Indian boxing team head coach Shiv Singh and pugilist Pramoj Kumar Sunday said that they were happy to be here in Pakistan to feature in the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament.
"We do not consider this tournament as a low profile event and it is a big international tournament with many countries featuring in the event," Shiv Singh told PPI.
"Our boxers will learn a lot from this tournament as top boxers from as many as 22 countries are participating in the event," he added. He further said that this tournament would help better the sporting relation between Pakistan and India. "Through sports better relations could be formed between nations," he said.
He said that they were happy with the arrangements and security measure taken by Pakistan for the successful holding of this event. "Players are not bothered by the security as it is not their work. However, we have seen high security measures taken for us and other arrangements are also satisfying," he said.
Meanwhile, light heavy weight pugilist Pramoj Kumar said that he doesn't feel away from home as people and the language is all the same as his country have. "It is my first trip to Pakistan and it is seems as if I m in my own land.
The people look the same and there is no language barrier. I feel at home here. Moreover, people here are very hospitable and the weather is also good," he said.
