Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the bomb blast in Hangu on Sunday, which caused death of former NWFP Minister for Irrigation, Haji Ghani-ur- Rehman Khan and injuries to others. Ghani-ur-Rehman was killed as his vehicle was targeted with a remote-control device at Hangu district on Sunday afternoon.
The Prime Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the killing of Haji Ghani-ur-Rehman and ordered an immediate inquiry into the incident. He said such cowardly acts of terrorism would not deter the government's resolve to fight this menace with full force. The Prime Minister prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
