Vice Chancellor, MUET, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput, has urged the new comer students to pay their entire attention on academic and co-academic activities. He was addressing fresh students of 10-batch on the orientation day organised by the Registrar and VC, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, on Monday welcomed to the new comer students of 10-batch and said that university should pay full attention to promote education and other healthy activities.
"We hope that the end of the day we shall be able to produce efficient and confident engineers who prove to be the best product of Mehran," he added. He said MUET, believes in establishing conductive environment for top of the class professional education and research. He said that the very purpose of the orientation was to acquaint students with the university atmosphere.
Dr Rajput said that the university would provide them conductive environment for their studies but it was entirely upon the students how to spend their time. He said that the university would focus on quality education with the active involvement of students, as MUET is a prime Engineering institution of the country, said Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqaili Pro-Vice-Chancellor, addressing the occasion.
MUET offers Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of City and Regional Planning Degrees in 17 disciplines and it also claims highest ratio of its PhD and ME Faculty members that patently outcasts rest of the technical universities of the country.
Earlier, Dr Tuha Hussain Ali Registrar MUET briefs the University history. Professor Mushtaque Mirani Chairman Electrical Department, Dr Riaz Ahmed Sohag, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Dr Dost Ali Khuwaja Dean Faculty of Architecture, Dr Abdul Kareem Baloch Dean Faculty of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering.
Professor Atta Muhammad Phul Provost hostels, Professor Abdur Rasheed Memon Controller of the Examination, Mumtaz Memon Librarian, Professor Dr Khan M. Brohi Adviser Students Affairs, Attaur Rehman Memon Adviser Students Affairs, Professor Muhammad Urs Shaikh Director English Language and Development Center Engr. Najeebur Rehman Channa Director Sports and All the Chairman's of the Departments and Directors of the Institutions also address the occasion and explained the rules and regulations of this University.
