Five terrorists killed, 11 held in Malakand, SWA: big cache of arms, munitions seized

Security forces killed five terrorists and arrested 11 others in Malakand division and South Waziristan Agency (SWA) during the on-going military assault against terrorists during the last 24 hours.
During the operation "Rah-e-Nijat" operation in South Waziristan Agency (SWA), two terrorists were killed and three others arrested while many compounds were cleared and huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosive was recovered, said a spokesman of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) here on Tuesday.
The spokesman said that security forces conducted a search and clearance operation in Luni village, Jandola sector, in which they arrested three suspected terrorists. He said the terrorists attacked security forces check post in Pungai, Shakai sector, which was effectively responded, killing two terrorists and injuring many others.
The security forces in another search and clearance operation in Upper Kaniguram and Tatai Langar Khel near Ladha area of Shakai sector, a number of compounds were cleared of the terrorists. Huge cache of arms and ammunitions was seized from there, he added.
He said that security forces conducted yet another search and clearance operation in Pash Ziarat and Tara Tizha villages near Makeen in Razmak sector, and cleared a number of compounds, adding that the security forces also seized a huge cache of arms and ammunitions. He said that the terrorists fired rockets at security forces check post near Spin Mela of Razmak sector, which was effectively retaliated.
The ISPR spokesman said that during the operation "Rah-e-Raast" operation in Swat and Malakand, they killed three terrorists and arrested eight others, while four terrorists surrendered. He said that during the operation in different parts of the Malakand division, the forces recovered huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives.
Security came under terrorists' attack in Mora Kandao area of Malakand during a search operation in which three terrorists were killed and one soldier injured, he said. He said that the security forces conducted search operation in different areas, including Mora Sar near Thana, Palai, Tando Dag near Barikot, Shalpin, Qambar, Kanju, Kotah, Asharbanr, Dakorak, Mian Kot near Charbagh and Pia Nimakai. During the operation, they arrested eight suspected terrorists and recovered cache of arms, ammunition and explosive from their possession. He said that four suspected terrorists surrendered to the security forces at Watakai near Mingora and Sakhra.
