Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday said the government was concentrating on improving the standard of education in the country with specific focus on provision of education facilities to the areas. He said Gomal University D I Khan would be made an exemplary academic institution and assured that its developmental budget would not be slashed.
Talking to APP, Faisal Kundi said corrupt officials would not be tolerated in any organisation. He said people of the area would be provided employment in local offices on preferential basis and non-locals would be transferred to their respective stations. The Deputy Speaker said he had taken up the issue of cut in non-developmental funds with the Higher Education Commission and expressed the hope that it would be resolved amicably and according to the wishes of the people.
