Islamabad Police on Saturday raided a house in Barakhu and arrested three alleged terrorists and recovered over 800 kg explosive materiel. According to sources, acting on a tip off, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Islamabad police raided a house and arrested three alleged terrorists belonging to a banned religious group.
According to police, the alleged terrorists were planning to carry out terrorist attack in the capital. They said that the terrorists were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
Talking to Business Recorder, residents of Barakhu said that a number of unknown people were living in the area and were involved in mysterious activities. They said that they even did not carry national identity card or any other identity proof with them. However, they said, they had approached the area police many time, but the police did not take any action.
