Kosovo police Wednesday expelled Serbia's minister for Kosovo, Goran Bogdanovic, for making political speeches during his visit to the separatist region which Serbia claims as its own."He was making political statements which were not scheduled," Fisnik Rexhepi, first advisor to the interior ministry, told the German Press Agency dpa.
Rexhepi added that Bogdanovic was allowed to visit Kosovo in a private visit. Kosovo police had now escorted him and his party to the Merdare border crossing with Serbia.
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in February 2008 and was recognised by more than 60 countries including majority of European Union and United States. Serbia bitterly opposes it. Kosovo authorities protested last week after Serbian President Boris Tadic visited Kosovo for Orthodox Christmas, charging that he had made political speeches during his stay.
