The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Professor Dr Nazir A. Mughal has said that sports are equally important as Education for healthy body and mind and urged upon the students to actively participate in sports activities. He was addressing in award distributing ceremony of 4-day inter District Women Cricket Tournament-2009-2010 organised by Regional Cricket Association of Hyderabad on Wednesday at Sindh University's PCB cricket Ground Jamshoro.
The Vice Chancellor underlined the need of sports activities among the youth and said that sports always trained the students in terms of discipline and patience. He said that it is surprising for him to see after ten years here in the University that girls are actively participating in the sports activities.
Inter University Cricket Championship trophy was won by Hyderabad Team, while runner trophy was won by Nawabshah Team. Best bats women shield was won by Sanjha Imdad, best balling shield was secured by Khadija Chishti. The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Dr Nazir A Mughal gave away the trophies to winner and runner teams and shield to best players.
