The open interest at the futures counter increased by a highly significant 188 percent on week-on-week basis to Rs 378 million. On the other hand, the futures spreads declined by 438bps on weekly basis and settled at a level of 5.70 percent amid healthy gains recorded in the regular market during the week, analysts said.
Trading at the futures counter decreased by a significant 14.7 percent on weekly basis to reach the level of 2.3 million shares. The top 5 scrips at the futures counter were POL, AICL, MCB, NBP and PPL cumulatively contributing 85 percent to the total open interest during the week.
