Minister of Ports and Shipping Babar Ghouri has dispelled the impression of any deadlock between MQM and Pakistan People's Party over the local bodies system.
Talking to a private TV channel, Ghouri said there was deadlock between the two parties in the core committee meeting but the talks between Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah proved fruitful in breaking the ice.
He said Altaf Hussain wants solution of all problems through dialogue. A delegation of MQM will meet President Asif Ali Zardari to settle all lingering issues, he added.
