Summaries of the ICE Futures US cocoa, coffee and sugar markets early on Monday. March arabica coffee contract rose 0.15 cent to $1.3975 per lb at 11:036 am EST (16036 GMT). Session range from $1.3855 to $1.4040. Arabica coffee turned slightly higher as the market looked for direction amid tight supplies for high-quality bean and chart-based weakness, said brokers.
March raw sugar contract gained 0.53 cent to 29.31 cents per lb at 11:04 am. Trading from 28.44 to 29.68 cents. Sugar motored higher on investment fund buying, but profit-taking at the highs again clipped the market's gains. A run toward 30 cents seems to be in the cards, but it may take a while to get there, said dealers. Benchmark March cocoa contract dropped $18 to $3,407 per tonne at 11:04 am. Trading from $3,382 to $3,423. US cocoa futures eased on light profit-taking and pressure from the weak London cocoa market, said traders.
