Due to doctor's negligence, one teenage girl has lost her life in Godhran Muslim Hospital (GMH) in the jurisdiction of New Karachi Industrial area Police station. According to the Station House Officer (SHO) Asad Aleem, the deceased was identified as Anum Komal daughter of Abdul Hai and residents of UP Mor in the jurisdiction of the said Police station.
On a complain of deceased brother Umair, son of Abdul Hai, police has registered FIR No 90/2010 under section 319 and started investigation. The brother of deceased, Umair said that his sister was suffering from flu and Dr Nasir, a doctor at the hospital, without diagnosis offered injection to her. After passing few hours, she died during the treatment process.
On refusal for registering FIR, the area people set ablaze tires on fire and staged protest at UP Mor. On a direction of Minister for Health Dr Saghir Ahmed police registered a FIR 90/10 under section 319 against the Dr Nasir and one unidentified morning shift doctor, Chairman Abdul Sattar Dal, Haji Iqbal and Administration incharge Mohammad Qasim.
