The Karachi Port handled 262,451 tonnes of cargo including 156,552 tonnes of import cargo; 105,899 tonnes of export cargo and 4,577 loaded and empty containers during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 156,552 tonnes comprised of 48,406 tonnes of containerised cargo; 8,055 tonnes of bulk cargo; 20,989 tonnes of canola; 4,253 tonnes of general cargo; 4,758 tonnes of oil cake and 70,091 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 105,899 tonnes comprised of 45,996 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,699 tonnes of bulk cargo; 22,604 tonnes of cement and 35,600 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Hanjin Gdynia, Hyundai General, Kota Akbar, Bavaria Express, Alexandria Bridge, Gulf Tiger and Atlantic Hope sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eleven vessels viz Fade-1, Samin-1, Alexandria Bridge, OOCL Dalian, APL Sokhna, Siam Sapphire, Christa Rickmers, Gulf Elan, Quetta, Ginga Leopard and Moyra are currently at the berths. Seven ships namely Caribbean Carrier-1, Gulf Elan, Samin-1, OOCL Dalian, Moyra and Christa Rickmers expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz TS Jakarta and Astra expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Al-Marwah, TS Jakarta and Uni Promote due to arrive on Saturday, while nine ships namely Chemroad Mega, MOL Bravery, Seaways Valour, LTC Calvin P. Titus, APL Pusan, Bunga Raya Dua, Kota Halus, QIA Fuja'a and Emperor are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 100,042 tonnes of cargo includes 75,617 tonnes of import cargo; 24,425 tonnes of export cargo and 2,644 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The total import cargo of 75,617 tonnes includes 54,860 tonnes of furnace oil; 7,000 tonnes of palm oil; 1,000 tonnes of phosphoric acid; 602 tonnes of project cargo and 12,155 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 24,425 tonnes includes 1,413 tonnes of rice; 992 tonnes of cement and 22,020 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Five ships namely MT Royal Jasper, MT Tirunmala, CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Al-Abdali and MT Khorfakhan sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz MT Bunga Katan Dua is expected to sail on Saturday afternoon.
Ten vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Al-Abdali, MV Miltiades, MT Alexi-III, MV Panthera, MV OXL Lotus, MT Tirunmala, MT Bunga Katan Dua, MT Royal Jasper and MT Khorfakhan are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, project cargo, phosphoric acid, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A total number of three ships namely QIA Al-Fija'a, NSC Jasmine and New Toyokaze carrying containers and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Three vessels viz CV NSC Jasmine, CV Saudi Diriyah and MT New Toyokaze carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Saturday.
Two ships namely MT Chemstar Elbe and MT Al-Anbariah with chemicals and furnace oil due to arrive on Saturday, while three more vessels viz CV Nord Winter, CV MSC Jade and MV BBC Green Land are due to arrive on Sunday. Nine vessels viz Njran, OOCL Kobe, CMA CGM Turquicium, Nedlloyed Africa, Maersk Ohio, Sicem Cons Ester, Sima Perdana, Alessan Drovotta and Tien Yen carrying containers, palm oil, coal and rice are also due to arrive.
