As many as three accused killed and police constable injured when unidentified persons opened fire on a police van here on Thursday, police said. Police said the incident occurred on GT Road near Kalasha Kako when police were carrying the accused to the site where they had killed the police constable, Kashif.
They further said when the van reached at the site, some armed men in a car opened indiscriminate fire on the police van in which three accused Sajid, Abid, Nasir and Constable Mudassar sustained serious injuries. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where the accused succumbed to their injuries. They said that culprits succeeded in fleeing when police retaliated fire.
