March raw sugar contract rose 0.18 cent to 26.82 cents per lb at 11:04 am. Trading range from 26.55 to 26.93 cents. Sugar consolidated, posting modest gains on light investor buying, said dealers. Benchmark May cocoa contract gained $54 to $3,094 per tonne at 11:04 am. Trading band from $3,032 to $3,125. US cocoa futures climbed higher in oversold conditions, feeling a boost from the London cocoa market and short-covering, said traders.
