The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Monday released 86,596 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 56,031 cusecs. According to the data released by Irsa here, the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was 1415.38 feet, which was 47.38 feet higher than its dead level of 1,369 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 19,600 cusecs while out flow was recorded as 40,000 cusecs.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 50,880, 40,762 and 20,840 cusecs respectively. The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1089.20 feet, which was 49.20 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 15,835 and 20,000 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 13,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,096 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
