20 percent increase in pension of secured workers

Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources, Ashraf Khan Sohna, has said that department has made 20 percent increase in the pension of secured workers, who died or became disable during the service, while financial assistance of contract workers who died during service has also been increased, he added.
While talking to a delegation of workers here on Monday, he said that 748 new organisations have been registered under Social Security Scheme (SSS), so 7559 new workers have included in this scheme. He informed the delegation that the government is paying special attention to provide healthcare facilities to the workers.
He further stated that new medical colleges are being set up in Lahore and Faisalabad for the workers whereas, paramedical school in Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital Multan Road would also be established.
