Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain has directed revenue officials (ROs) to prepare a comprehensive list of government lands lying vacant in their jurisdiction and also present details of public lands with help of chart and maps attached with government offices and residences.
He said that protection and security of every inch of state land is prime responsibility of revenue department and it should fulfil it in a proper way. He issued these directions to DOs Revenue while chairing a meeting here on Wednesday. The commissioner directed them to update data about government land so that it could be utilised in the interest of government as well as public.
Meanwhile, Commissioner visited DDOR office Chiniot to check revenue related matters. He directed DDOR to ensure recovery of government taxes besides making sure transparency in the process of land registration. DCO Chiniot Rana Muhammad Tahir, DPO Fiaz Ahmad Sunbal, MPA Imtiaz Lali, DOR Imtiaz Ahmad Niazi, DDOR Imtiaz Khan and ACR Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq were also present on the occasion.
