Former federal minister and Chairman National Democratic Front (NDF) MNA Nawabzada Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti has alleged that corruption is at its peak in the NWFP province and problems of the people are on rise in the province.
Addressing two separate public meetings at the residences of Nazim and Naib Nazim, Union Council Gulibagh, Rahim Khan and Irfan Khan here on Friday, he said that government's jobs are 'on sale' in Mardan and growing price hike is making the lives of the people miserable. He said the law and order situation, unemployment and price hike are making the lives of the residents of Mardan miserable.
Hoti said the 'champions of the rights of Pukhtoons' have failed in taking any step for the welfare and betterment in the lives of the people of the province. He observed that the situation in the province is deteriorating with each passing day in the province.
Expressing concern over the discriminatory treatment with Pukhtoons in other provinces of the country, he attributed it to the weak policies of the provincial government. Former federal minister clarified that the statements published in certain newspapers are not representing his views. He said that those demanding his resignation should first tender resignations themselves as great leaders of Pukhtoons Abdul Ghaffar Khan and Abdul Wali Khan have struggled for the elimination of corruption and rights of Pukhtoons in their lives.
But, unfortunately, he said the present leadership of ANP is not following the path of their leaders. He reiterated his resolve to continue his struggle while remaining within the party and raising voice for the rights of the people. He said he would continue unveiling the faces of the corrupt before the people of district Mardan.
