41 students of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan met with Vice Chancellor University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences (UVAS), Lahore during their two-day study tour of UVAS to learn about the facilitation and expertise of varsity being provided to students for the uplift of livestock, poultry and agriculture sectors.
About 41 students of BZU Multan studying in Pharmacology, microbiology, parasitology and pathology departments of BZU visited the university under the guidance of Dean FVS of BZU, Professor Dr Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, as the students learnt about the facilitation being delivered to students and researchers by UVAS. The students also visited Pet Center, University Diagnostic Laboratory UDL, WTO quality control laboratory and outdoor clinic of UVAS.
Students showed their much satisfaction regarding preparing good veterinarians in UVAS by the experienced and highly qualified staff of UVAS, as VC UVAS, Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz briefed the students about the UVAS city campus, Pattoki campus and Jhang campus where students are continuing their studies in different fields.
Addressing the BZU students the VC UVAS, Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz told the students about the importance of veterinary education as well its scope world-wide, adding students getting veterinary education should prove themselves strong veterinarians helpful in boosting the livestock sector of the country.
Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz addressing the students, said that today in USA, UK and in many other countries of the world the students of UVAS are serving amongst the top world veterinarians, adding UVAS will also offer short courses of lab-technicians that would help in making the veterinary students more and more competent.
He said a veterinarian should use his/her skills fully for the betterment of livestock sector and a veterinarian having positive thinking and patience as well good dealing could steer the livestock sector towards progress and prosperity. Associate Professor Dr Aneela and other faculty members of UVAS, Lahore told the students about the ongoing studies of the varsity as well the facilitation.
