Senator Haji Adil, member of Parliamentary Constitutional Committee (PCC) has said that the committee has sorted out over 80 percent issues, including reduction in President's powers, enhancing the Prime Minister's powers or new method of judges' appointment.
Speaking to Radio Pakistan the Senator said that the powers of Chief Executives have been delegated to the parliamentary committees and those of Chief Justice to a judicial selection committee to be headed by the Chief Justice himself. He said that there is also agreement on abolition of all amendments in the Constitution introduced by General Pervez Musharraf except only few like ages of judges and women seats etc. The only issue being debated for now is the provincial autonomy, he added.
