President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday appointed seven additional judges in the Peshawar High Court, for a period of one year, with effect from the date they make the oath of their offices. Following are the names of newly appointed additional judges of PHC:
Yahya Afridi, Ziaur Rehman Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah, Sher Muhammad Khan, Abdul Samad Khan and Sardar Shaukat Hayat. Spokesperson to the President former Senator Farhatullah Babar said the appointments have been made on the advice of the Prime Minister and under Article 197 of the Constitution.
