Pakistan Electric Power Company (Pepco) has requested the government to increase power tariff by Rs 1.44 per unit, a private news channel reported on Friday. According to the channel, Pepco sources said that if the government has no objection on the increased power tariff then the prices would be increased by April.
Pepco has requested the government to increase the power tariff due to increased prices of furnace oil in the international market in February, Pepco sources stated.
