President Pakistan Muttahida Kissan Mahaz (PMKM) Ayub Khan Meo and Punjab chapter's President, Sardar Murad Baloch have demanded of the government to move a resolution in United Nation through it representative against India for blocking Pakistan's water. They were leading a protest demonstration by farmers against India at Pak-India border.
The urged the government to apprise the whole world of the water aggression of India and the nature of steps the Indian Government was taking to block rivers Chenab, Jhelum and Indus water.
They also urged the government to immediately start hydel power projects for the benefit of the nation.
The agitating farmers gave India 15-day ultimatum to stop all those ventures that were in negation of Indus Basin Treaty. They said that India's projects would destroy the canal system of the country.
The farmer leaders said on September 19, on which Indus Treaty was signed between President Ayub Khan and Prime Minister Lal Bhadur Shastri, farmers, lawyers, students, journalists, traders and members of civil society would hold protests demonstrations along the 1700 kilometre Indo-Pak border.
LCCI representative, Dr Shahid Raza, Chairman Civil Society Forum Dr Ishaq Khan also participated in the demonstration.
