PCG foils narcotics, liquor smuggling attempt

Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) foiled an attempt of smuggling Hashish and Liquor in Shadikaur area of Pasni (Balochistan). According to PCG officials here, information was received that attempt will be made for smuggling of huge quantity of narcotics through Shadikaur area of Pasni and keeping in view a special team was formed to carry out operation.
The team raided the area, but to see the PCG sleuths the smugglers opened fire. However, Coast Guards retaliated the fire. During exchange of firing, the drug traffickers managed to flee taking advantage of darkness and mountainous terrain, PCG said. Later on, the PCG patrolling team recovered one vehicle loaded with 45 kg Hashish, 400 bottles of foreign liqour, two pistols and ammunition. Further investigation is underway by the PCG special investigation team.
