National Training Bureau (NTB): Established in 1976, National Training Bureau is an attached department of ministry of Labour & country and trains potential vocational training system in the country and trains potential workers. Pakistan Manpower Institute (PM)
Pakistan Manpower Institute was established in 1975 as an attached department of the Ministry of Labour and Manpower. The institute undertakes research and training in area of human resource development and management with focus on labour related issues.
The institute enhances the capacities of different public and private sector organisation through providing knowledge to their officers and executives in human resources development planning, human resources management, woman employment and awareness about WTO and its implication in the national economy etc.
PMI has conducted 39 training courses and seminars for 937 trainees in the past two years. Moreover, a research study has been conducted on Global Production System (GPS) and some collaborative work with Japan Institute of Labour Studies and ILO-ROAP, Bangkok.
National Talent Pool
Systematic planning for development and effective utilisation for highly educated professionals. Scientific and technical manpower which constitute the most valuable asset of the country, is an said importance, National Talent Pool, is entrusted to compile data of such manpower. During the last two years of the democratic government the NTP has compiled the following data:

-- President's Programme for Care of Highly Qualified Overseas Pakistani (PPQP).
Under the enlightened vision of the President of Pakistan, a Public Sector Development Programme titled "President's Programme for Care of Highly Qualified Overseas Pakistanis (PPQP)" has been launched on 15th July, 2009 by the President of Pakistan in the President's House to facilitate high level Pakistani Professionals abroad for their placement in Pakistan through short to long term technical assistance for economic development of the country of specific input on their areas of specialisation.
In order to carry out activities, an interactive website titled www.ppqp.gov.pk has been developed and lunched through NTC on ASP Net Platform with Ms SQL 2005 database support.
The website provides the following existing services/factures:
-- On-line registration facility for highly qualified Pakistanis (Abroad and Pakistan)
-- On-line registration facility employers
-- Employer's query form.
E-queries replies via emails.
-- Job search with OEC panel.
-- Under this programme 5496 Highly Qualified Pakistani (HQPs) have been registered:
