Administrator Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, Shafiqur Rehman, has called for better night sweeping of roads and said that as a result of steps taken so far, the sanitary conditions have shown improvement. On Saturday night, the Town Administrator inspected the sweeping work on main roads, which is carried out from 9 P.M. to 4 A.M.
The roads where night sweeping is done include Teen Hatti to Jail Chowrangi, Shaheed-e-Millat Road, University Road, Rashid Minhas Road, Karsaz Road and Sir Shah Suleman Road. In order to further improve the sanitary conditions, the work has been sourced out to private sector and some 200 sanitary workers have been deployed besides the use of machinery.
