Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that in order to impart latest knowledge and skills to the women, so that they could play an effective role in the economic development, Tevta institutions are being modernised and all-out facilities are being offered to the girl students.
According to an information of DGPR received here on Sunday CM expressed these views during his visit to the vocational training institute for women running under the control of Tevta in Murree. The Chief Minister also inspected the under-construction extension project of Tevta besides reviewing the courses conducted at the institute.
The Chief Minister said that a special institute had been set up for providing modern training facilities to women of Murree and the adjoining areas. He said that a conducive atmosphere had been provided at the institute for enabling the women to acquire various skills according to their talent and abilities for setting up more training institutions in their respective areas as well as joining the process of economic development.
The CM also inspected the under construction extension project as well as reviewed the training classes and courses. He said that buses would soon be provided for the benefit of the girl students studying at the Tevta institute.
Secretary Tevta and Zonal Manager informed the Chief Minister that fashion designing, computer, office management, commercial art and beautician courses are conducted at the institute.
Member National Assembly, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Advisor to CM Raja Ishfaq Sarwar, Member Provincial Assembly, Raja Fayyaz Sarwar and Secretary Health were also present on the occasion.
