The Karachi Port handled 103,395 tonnes of cargo including 71,541 tonnes of import cargo; 31,854 tonnes of export cargo and 3,771 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 71,541 tonnes comprised of 29,413 tonnes of containerised cargo; 478 tonnes of bulk cargo; 18,206 tonnes of coal; 2,260 tonnes of rock phosphate and 21,184 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 31,854 tonnes comprised of 12,725 tonnes of containerised cargo; 415 tonnes of bulk cargo; 6,047 tonnes of cement; 2,190 tonnes of rice and 925 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Dubai Star, Kuleli, Valrossa, OXL Triumph, Cap George, Bunga Raya Enam and Bow Cape sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Seven vessels viz President Truman, Genie, Lucky-7, Advance Victoria, Nadeem, Kang Hing and Golden Oceania are currently at the berths. Six ships namely Hyundai Commodore, Advance Victoria, Lucky-7, President Truman, Endeavour and Red Sea Spirit expected to sail on Friday, while three vessels viz Genie, Kang Hing and Wisdom are expected to sail on Saturday.
Three vessels viz Al-Marwah, MT Johar and X-Press Annapurna due to arrive on Friday, while ten ships namely Shukri-B, Pertiwi, Navig 8 Leon, YM Europe, Al-Wajba, APL Guangzhou, BC San Francisco, Queen Arrow-I, Invicta and Lucky Carrier are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 92,528 tonnes of cargo includes 71,648 tonnes of import cargo; 20,880 tonnes of export cargo and 2,407 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 71,648 tonnes includes 56,233 tonnes of furnace oil; 250 tonnes of chemicals and 15,165 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 20,880 tonnes includes 2,468 tonnes of rice; 2,146 tonnes of cement and 16,752 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Five ships namely CV Asir, MT Galaxy, MT DP Porteus, CV CSAV Apennine and CV OOCL Kobe sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely MT Quetta is expected to sail on Friday afternoon. Six vessels viz CV CSAV Apennine, CV OOCL Kobe, MV Alexi-III, MV Oriental Moon, MT Fraternity Wisdom and MT Quetta are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Six ships namely MSC Jeanne, Maersk Naha, MSC Aurelie, Al-Salam-II, Al-Anberiah and Samho Heron carrying containers, diesel oil, furnace oil and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Four vessels viz CV Maersk Naha, CV MSC Jeanne, MT Samho Heron and MT Pramoni carrying containers, chemicals and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Friday. Four ships namely Naersk Iowa, Imri, Pacific Express and Emerald Park carrying containers, rice and MEG are due to arrive.
