At least four people including a Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqeeqi (MQM) activist and an alleged dacoit were killed in different violent incidents across the city on Monday, police and witnesses said. MQM-H activist body was found in Ibrahim Haidri, Korangi and an alleged dacoit was killed by bungalow owner in Gizri.
A man was killed by dacoit in Gulshan-e-Ghulam Mustafa, Bhains Colony and woman was stabbed to death in Ayub Goth. According to detail, the body of another MQM-H worker was found in Ibrahim Haidri, Korangi. The deceased was identified by the heirs as Muhammad Shafi 26, son of Maulvi Ibrahim.
He was the resident of Landhi and worker of MQM-H. In another incident, a bungalow owner shot dead a 48-year-old man, who according to the owner entered into his house for robbery. Sources in Gizri police station told Business Recorder, that the owner of the house no. M-19/1, Khayaban-e-Itehad, Clifton, namely Taimor Khan has claimed that the deceased entered into his house with his two other companions for robbery.
When he sensed insecurity, he restored gun fire and killed him, but his other accomplices manage to flee, the sources added. The police have not found any type of weapon from his possession and other evidences to prove his identification. They termed the case "ambiguous." However, the police have lodged an FIR no. 220/10 under section 395, 397 of the Pakistan Panel Code (PPC) and had started further investigations.
A man was gunned down by dacoits in Gulshan-e-Ghulam Mustafa, Bhains Colony. The deceased was identified as Khalid Nadeem. The eye witnesses said that three armed men entered into his house and looted precious valuables, but on resistance, they restore gun fire on him. He died on the spot, the eyewitnesses said.
In yet another incident, a woman namely Shabnam wife of Naveed was killed by his cousin Ubaid over a nominal sum of money. The incident was took place in Ayub Goth in limits of Sohrab Goth police. However, no case could be lodged till our going to the press.
