Former City Nazim of Karachi and member of Rabita Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Mustafa Kamal has alleged that the government of Punjab was creating hurdles in his way to hold public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan.
Talking to journalists here on Monday along with party leaders, he said MQM had asked for permission from the provincial government to hold a public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan, which was not granted because of some security concerns but Minhaj-ul-Quran Tanzeem chief, Allama Tahir-ul-Qadri got the permission to hold its public meeting at the same place, which is a discriminatory. "MQM does not want confrontation with anyone. Therefore, conventions will be held at Al-Hamra Hall Lahore, Arts Council Multan and National College for Arts Rawalpindi," Kamal said.
