University of Faisalabad (UAF) is putting efforts to come up with a vision of a 'community builder', and used to hold various activities on campus thereby to educate and extend necessary services to all segments of the society to ease out their problems.
This was stated by UAF VC Professor Iqrar Ahmad Khan while addressing and presiding over an awareness campaign to highlight the salient features of newly designed currency notes regarding detection of forged notes and clean note policy of SBP organised by Public Relations & Publication Department, here at new senate hall on Wednesday.
Khan acknowledged the recent reforms taken place at SBP and said that today SBP is very much different and its services are considered at par with the international standards. Dr Khan said that having money is an everyday science and people need to be aware of such security features and flying away the currency notes on marriages and other cultural activities, which is unlawful and humiliate the respect of the founder of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's picture.
Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that rights and obligations are there and need to be maintained by our responsible attitudes. Dr Muhammad Saleem said that in 2007, economic crisis severely crumbled the banking sector of US, and European Union thus the UK government had to announce a bailout package of 1 trillion pounds aiming to pull them out of deteriorating economic situation, but Pakistani banks did not face its affects due to effective monitory policies of SBP.
He maintained that counterfeiters always try to meet the printing standards of SBP, but despite every possible effort, they could not succeed even to break 50 percent security features. He said though today the forged currency notes are in the market but by applying and taking care of security features, the users can identify the fake currency.
