An IED blast targeted a police vehicle in Quetta’s Hazar Ganji area on Monday morning, leaving several injured.

According to initial reports, the vehicle was on routine patrol when it was attacked. Several were reported injured, however, no loss of life has been reported as of yet. The police vehicle is however completely damaged. The explosion took place at 8 a.m. this morning in Sabzi Mandi (Vegetable Market) located in Hazar Ganji area in Quetta. The sources said the blast meant to target the police mobile van parked in the market.

The search operation is underway and the bomb disposal squad (BDS) team has reached the blast scene and inspecting the spot.
