A member of Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) Masud Gujjar, here on Tuesday filed a petition before Lahore High Court (LHC) challenging the resolution adopted by Punjab Assembly against media. Petitioner stated that it was the duty of media to keep the people aware hence no hindrance should be created in its working.
He stated that the article 19 guarantees the right of freedom of expression and the people have right to know what their representatives were doing. He, therefore, prayed to the court to issue orders for immediate suspension of resolution against the media.
