Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has formally launched its programme against corporal punishment in its 2000 partner schools and three complaints redressal centers have been set up in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan to benefit the one million students. PEF is ensuring that every partner school becomes known as child-friendly institution.
This was told by PEF-MD Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani while briefing the three-member delegation of Unicef comprising of child protection officer on Wednesday. Unicef delegation was briefed about nature and scope of different PEF programmes. It was agreed in the meeting that both PEF and Unicef to mutually work for the rights of the children in Punjab.
