Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade, the Kansas City Board of Trade and the Minneapolis Grain Exchange climbed to fresh six-month highs early on Wednesday on concerns about hot weather reducing crops in western Europe and Russia, traders said.
As of 9:59 am CDT (1459 GMT), CBOT September wheat was up 13-3/4 cents at $5.63 per bushel, its highest level since mid-January. KCBT September wheat was up 11-1/4 cents at $5.78 and MGEX September spring wheat was up 11-3/4 at $5.90-1/4.
