In a barbaric act, a boy and a girl were hammered to death by their maternal uncle in the limits of Mominabad Police Station on Thursday. According to details, five-year-old Saud and his nine-year-old sister Zainab, children of Nasir, were playing in their house situated in the Sector 11-E of Orangi Town when they found that their maternal uncle Sajid was trying to steal money and jewellery from their parent's cupboard.
On getting noticed, Sajid tried to divert the attention of children and asked them to lie down flat on the floor to play a game. He then attacked them with a hammer and killed them. When the neighbours reached the spot, they found children in a blood pool and Sajid with a hammer in his hand. The neighbours immediately caught him and handed him over to the area police. According to sources in the Mominabad Police Station, investigations were going on till the filing of this report.
