Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz had taken a strict notice on the murder of two Christians in Faisalabad and ordered for strict security for the minority community in the area. He said it was a sad incident, which needed condemnation from all segments of the society. Minority MPA Tahir Navid talking about the incident said that both men had not done anything repugnant as labelled against them.
Fake degrees: MPA Iqbal Langrial speaking about the fake degrees of his and his son said that media had misquoted about them and the factual situation was that these degrees of theirs had been authenticated by the concerned authorities and he asked media for checking before publication of any news.
In a motion by Sh Alludin he pointed that recently there had been an increase of sugar prices in the province, which he stressed to curb this trend by the authorities. A resolution by opposition member Khurram Nawab regarding bypasses being built in Punjab was disposed off on the occasion. Another resolution by Dr Samia Amjad regarding naming a university on the name of Quran-e-Hakeem was too disposed off due to non presence of the mover.
A resolution by MPA Simil Kamran on giving free education till attainment of bachelors degree was too disposed off on the occasion. A resolution by MPA Chaudhry Zaher-u-Din for increasing family pension of deceased government servants was further disposed off in the House.
An adjournment motion by MPA Nighat Nassir Shaikh regarding PCR machine of Mayo Hospital was kept for pending by the Chair. On the occasion parliamentary secretaries Javaid Akbar Dhillon, Khurram Gulfam Ashraf answered queries about Social Affair and transport sector. Parliamentary Secretary Dhillion answering a query stated that it was being assured that Population Welfare Programme was introduced to 100 population of the province.
He said it was aimed to bring number of Welfare Centers to the level of 1500 from 900 in the province. He said under the programme, government intended to increase family planning mobile units from 117 to 990. On a query on transport, the concerned parliamentary secretary said that there were four approved bus stands in Bhawalnagar. The House was later adjourned to 10 am Wednesday (today) by the Chair.
