Floodwater inundation: 10 injured as police fires teargas shells to disperse protestors
Three policemen and ten villagers were injured as police fired teargas and baton-charged hundreds of protesters blocking motorway interchange near Sahianwala where more than eight villages are inundated in floodwater, and neither irrigation department nor district administration have taken any action to dealing with the issue.
More that 2,000 villagers pelted police with stones and shouted slogans against the authorities for showing negligence. The protestors also burnt tiers at various places.
