Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organised a certificate awarding ceremony at Lahore office for distribution of certificates among the participant of a five days workshop. The objective of the workshop was to train businessmen in this sector about the basics of exports. It was a five days successful feature with over fifty participants who also debated on the Gems and Jewellery promotion.
The ceremony was addressed by Director TDAP Yasmeen Kuraishi who co-ordinated the entire programme, Regional Chairman and Vice President FPCCI Mian Muhammad Idrees Muhammad Ahmad Chairman Standing Committee on Gems and Jewellery and Consultant Asad Zahoor.
Yasmeen Kuraishi whilst speaking on the occasion urged the stakeholders to understand that export is no longer an option but a necessity if the industry is to survive. Trainings she said play an important role as they can meet the challenges, which the country is now facing.
The speakers highlighted the huge potential of Gold Jewellery and Gems Stones in International Market and urged the participants of the workshop to adopt the latest techniques for producing their respective product items in consonance to the demands of international markets so, that their product could be cost and quality competitive. Mian Muhammad Idrees Regional Chairman FPCCI and Muhammad Ahmad President Standing Committee on Gems and Jewellery, FPCCI appreciated the efforts of TDAP for arranging such a workshop and hoped that process would go on. About 60 participants attended five-day workshop.
