Government announces public holiday on November 4
Sindh government has announced a public holiday on Saturday throughout the province on the occasion of the 274th Urs of Sufi saint Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
According to the notification by Sindh Government, all government offices and educational institutions will remain close on Saturday in order to pay respect to the saint. The three-day ceremony of the Urs has already begun across Sindh, with poetry marathons, literature conference and other activities to celebrate the Sufi saint’s poetry.
Through his poetry, the great Sufi saint Bhitai preached the message of love, peace, affection and brotherhood. Strict security measures and adequate arrangements have been made for visitors who want to pay homage to the Sufi saint at his shrine in Bhit Shah.
